One of the biggest reasons for optimism is Viktor Gyökeres.
The Swedish striker helped Arsenal win the league during his first season and has now spoken about feeling physically better heading into his second campaign. If he becomes even more comfortable in Arsenal's system, his goals could make a significant difference.
Bukayo Saka remains another major weapon, while Arsenal's defensive organisation gives them a foundation that should keep them competitive throughout a long season.
The biggest challenge will be handling the pressure that comes with being champions.

Maresca inherits an extremely talented squad, including Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, but replacing Guardiola's influence will not be straightforward.

The key will be turning promising performances into regular victories.
They don't necessarily need to dominate every opponent. They need to stop dropping points in matches they should be winning.
If they can do that, a top-four finish is realistic.

But we're backing Viktor Gyökeres.

The race for European football could be extremely competitive, and Villa have the potential to finish much higher than some predictions suggest.

Premier League 2026/27 Relegation Predictions
This could be one of the hardest sections to predict.
The three promoted clubs—Coventry City, Hull City and Ipswich Town—will all be looking to establish themselves in the Premier League after winning promotion.
But the Premier League is unforgiving.
18. Hull City
Hull's biggest challenge will be adapting quickly to the pace and quality of the Premier League.
They will have moments where they impress, but maintaining consistency across 38 matches is a completely different challenge.
