Dinamo Zagreb's Road to the Play-Off

Dinamo have already had to work for their place in this round.

Their second qualifying-round tie against Swiss champions Thun was far from straightforward. After a 1-1 draw away from home, Dinamo eventually won 3-2 after extra time in Zagreb.

That result showed why Dinamo are considered favourites in this tie. They have already experienced the pressure of Champions League qualifying this summer, and their attacking players have shown they can punish teams when opportunities appear.

Dion Beljo is one player Viking will have to watch particularly closely. The forward has been in excellent scoring form, with five goals in his last five matches according to recent pre-match analysis.

Final Verdict

This is exactly the kind of European night Dinamo Zagreb have been preparing for.

They have already survived a difficult tie against Thun and comfortably dispatched Kauno Žalgiris. Now they face a Viking side with plenty of confidence and attacking ability.

Viking will believe they can cause problems, particularly if Dinamo become careless in possession, but the Croatian champions should have enough quality at Maksimir.
